Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I go on my first day?
On your first day you will report to your normal work locations. This is likely the location that you did your interview. If you are unsure of the location or address you can speak to your Pacesetter (manager) or visit the Risas Locations page.
Do I need to bring anything for my first day?
Please bring any identification documents needed to complete your new hire paperwork. You may also consider bringing something to eat for lunch.
What should I expect for my first day?
On your first day, either your Pacesetter (manager) or Assistant Pacesetter should be present to welcome you. They will give you a tour of the office, introduce you to the team, help you complete any outstanding new hire paperwork, and assign a mentor who will help you with your training. You will begin training on the job so you can experience actual scenarios.
What is the dress code?

If you work in one of our clinics, we will order official Risas scrubs with your name embroidered on them. Until they arrive you may wear blue, green, or black scrubs. If you work in the back-office part of the clinic you will need to wear your hair pulled back/up. All teammates in the clinics need to have short, clean fingernails, scrubs need to be ironed and clean, and any makeup should be modest and professional. Shoes need to be close toed and comfortable. If you have visible tattoos or hair color that is not natural, you should speak with your Pacesetter (manager) for guidance. If you work at our corporate office, you may wear clean jean pants that do not have tears, slacks, skirts, dresses, and other professional bottoms. You may also wear blouses, polos, sweaters, Risas t-shirts, or other professional looking tops. Tennis shoes, heels, dress shoes, and other professional shoes are permitted (flip flops are not included). You can refer to the Teammate Handbook, located on the ADP homepage, to review the full policy.

How long is training?
The length of your training will vary based on how much experience you have, how quickly you are learning the material, and your role. Training is done on the job so that you can practice your skills in a live environment with real scenarios.
Where is the new hire orientation class?
The New Hire Orientation Class or Onboarding class is held both virtually and in person. If you wish to attend an in-person class it is held at our corporate office which is located at 3030 N. Central Ave #1500, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
Where can I find my schedule?
Each manager will have their own way of listing schedules. Please contact your direct manager for help with accessing your schedule.
Who is my manager? How do I contact my manager?
If you do not know who your manager is or how to contact them, you can check on our Risas Locations page. If you are still unsure, contact HR for assistance.
What paid holidays does Risas recognize?

Risas recognizes several holidays as paid holidays. Including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. You may refer to the Teammate Handbook on the ADP homepage for more details.

When can I take time off from work?
We feel that the first 90 days with Risas is critical to learning your role, the Risas Way and adapting to the culture. Therefore, we usually do not approve any absences during this timeframe. After you have successfully completed your 90 days probationary period, you may begin to use your PTO by requesting time off from your Pacesetter (manager).
When do I get paid?
If you started between the 1st and 15th of the month your first check will be on the 22nd of the month. If you started between the 16th and the end of the month your first check will be on the 7th next month. We pay every 7th and 22nd. If those dates fall on a weekend or banking holiday, we send your check on the weekday prior. However, some banks will not release your funds until the actual pay date.
Who should I contact if I have a problem or question?
Most problems or questions are best resolved by your Pacesetter (manager). But if you do not know how to contact them or if you feel uncomfortable speaking to them about your problem you may contact your doctors or Human Resources.

Are there opportunities to grow?

Risas believes in investing in the growth and development of our teammates. Your leadership will work with you to learn new skills and strengthen existing ones. There are opportunities to advance within your office or department or transfer to a new department/role. As Risas continues to grow and open new locations there will be new opportunities. We often hire from within, choosing to invest in our teammates. We also offer tuition assistance for teammates who have been with Risas for a year. You can learn more about this program by visiting the benefit guide on the ADP home page.
