Please note that successfully passing the background check is a condition of employment. If you have any further questions about our background check process you may contact Human Resources.

ADP is our Human Resources software that lets you track your hours, view your pay stubs, and more. Human Resources will send an email with a unique code to your personal email address once you are ready to set up your account. Then, simply visit workforcenow.adp.com and click the option to register your account. During the registration process, you will choose your user ID and password. If you do not receive an invite to create your account prior to your first day of work, please be sure to contact Human Resources.

Before your first day, please send a picture of yourself to your manager along with a few sentences about yourself.  You can decide what to share but some of the our teammates like to talk about things like their hobbies, their family, if they are in school, their last job, something interesting about themselves, etc.  We will be sharing the photo and background info with your new team.

We use the Microsoft Teams app for most communication within Risas.  Please download the application on your phone so you can be in the loop on scheduling, office closures, and other important information.  IT will be sending your Teams login credentials to your personal email address on file.  The sender will be RD Automation and the subject line will read: Risas Dental – 365 Account info.  Once you have them and can login to Teams, please make sure you contact your managers or Asisstant Pacesetter to ensure you are added to the right threads.  If you do not receive your credentials, you can contact IT directly via email at [email protected].

On Your First Day

Here's what you can expect for your first day at Risas

Arrive Early

We suggest you arrive 10–15 minutes before your day starts to give you a buffer in case of unexpected delays. This also gives you time to check in with reception, settle in, and get mentally ready for the day ahead.

Meet with Your Manager

You'll likely meet with your Pacesetter first. They may walk you through expectations, your role, and what the first week will look like. This is a great time to ask questions and clarify priorities.

Complete any additional HR Paperwork

Most important paperwork should have been taken care of by your first day, but if there are any remaining or additional items make sure they are completed promptly. You will need to complete your new hire paperwork at least three days prior to your start date with Risas. As a reminder, any teammates who do not meet the deadline will be terminated.

Make sure you can clock in
Hourly employees only

Once you reach the office, the first thing you should do is login to ADP and clock in for the day. You should see the option in the bottom right-hand corner of the homepage. If you do not see the option to clock in, please alert your Pacesetter and contact HR. If you are unable to clock in, you will not be paid for your hours worked so it is important that this matter is resolved promprly. Once you have successfully clocked in on the web page you may use the mobile app to clock in or out if you prefer.

Meet Your Team

You'll be introduced to your coworkers and key team members. Don't worry about remembering every name right away—focus on smiling, being friendly, and showing enthusiasm. We're glad to have you!

Get an Office Tour

Your Pacesetter or a teammate will give you a tour of the office. This helps you get familiar with your new environment and know where to find restrooms, break rooms, and meeting spaces.

Start work and begin your training

Your manager will assign tasks and guide you through in-person training. You’ll also complete online training through Risas University, including New Hire Orientation, OSHA and Medicare Fraud training within your first 30 days, and job-specific training. This combination of in-person and online learning will help you feel confident and prepared in your new role.

Sign up or decline benefits

Complete open enrollment for benefits within 30 days. You can enroll in medical, vision, and other benefits. Login to ADP to access enrollment. Visit our Benefits page for more information.

Welcome to the Risas family!

We’re excited to have you join our team and look forward to working with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I go on my first day?

On your first day you will report to your normal work locations. This is likely the location that you did your interview. If you are unsure of the location or address you can speak to your Pacesetter (manager) or visit the Risas Locations page.

Please bring any identification documents needed to complete your new hire paperwork. You may also consider bringing something to eat for lunch.

On your first day, your Pace Setter should be present to welcome you. They will give you a tour of the office, introduce you to the team, help you complete any outstanding new hire paperwork, and assign a mentor who will help you with your training. You will begin training on the job so you can experience actual scenarios.

If you work in one of our clinics, we will order official Risas scrubs with your name embroidered on them. Until they arrive you may wear blue, green, or black scrubs. If you work in the back-office part of the clinic you will need to wear your hair pulled back/up. All teammates in the clinics need to have short, clean fingernails, scrubs need to be ironed and clean, and any makeup should be modest and professional. Shoes need to be close toed and comfortable. If you have visible tattoos or hair color that is not natural, you should speak with your Pacesetter (manager) for guidance. If you work at our corporate office, you may wear clean jean pants that do not have tears, slacks, skirts, dresses, and other professional bottoms. You may also wear blouses, polos, sweaters, Risas t-shirts, or other professional looking tops. Tennis shoes, heels, dress shoes, and other professional shoes are permitted (flip flops are not included). You can refer to the Teammate Handbook, located on the ADP homepage, to review the full policy.

The length of your training will vary based on how much experience you have, how quickly you are learning the material, and your role. Training is done on the job so that you can practice your skills in a live environment with real scenarios.

The New Hire Orientation (NHO) is completed online through Risas University. You will receive all the information and sign-in instructions during your first week of starting.

How To Guide

Each Pace Setter will have their own way of listing schedules. Please contact your direct manager for help with accessing your schedule.

If you do not know who your Pacesetter is or how to contact them, you can check on our Risas Locations page. If you are still unsure, contact HR for assistance.

Risas recognizes several holidays as paid holidays. Including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. You may refer to the Teammate Handbook on the ADP homepage for more details.

We feel that the first 90 days with Risas is critical to learning your role, the Risas Way and adapting to the culture. Therefore, we usually do not approve any absences during this timeframe. After you have successfully completed your 90 days probationary period, you may begin to use your PTO by requesting time off from your manager.

If you started between the 1st and 15th of the month your first funds will be on the 22nd of the month. If you started between the 16th and the end of the month your first funds will be on the 7th next month. We pay every 7th and 22nd. If those dates fall on a weekend or banking holiday, we send your funds on the weekday prior. However, some banks will not release your funds until the actual pay date.

Most problems or questions are best resolved by your Pacesetter (manager). But if you do not know how to contact them or if you feel uncomfortable speaking to them about your problem you may contact your doctors or Human Resources.

Risas believes in investing in the growth and development of our teammates. Your leadership will work with you to learn new skills and strengthen existing ones. There are opportunities to advance within your office or department or transfer to a new department/role. As Risas continues to grow and open new locations there will be new opportunities. We often hire from within, choosing to invest in our teammates. We also offer tuition assistance for teammates who have been with Risas for a year. You can learn more about this program by visiting the benefit guide on the ADP home page.

Once you login to ADP there will likely be a popup that allows you to complete your new hire open enrollment for benefits. However, if you disabled the popup, you can still access it by clicking on the menu options Myself-Benefits-Enrollments. Please remember you have 30 days from start date to complete your enrollment. Once you have submitted your enrollment successfully, you will see a confirmation page.

You can learn more about benefits by attending new hire orientation class, visiting our Benefits page, or from our benefit guide found on the ADP homepage.
